The Boat

From the outside

A view of inside the cabin. On the left is the old cooker shelving and on the right is the old sink unit.

All the cushions are missing as Julie has already started work on recovering them

This is the start of the electrics re wire. The boat had very little electronics on board when we got her.

The silver box in the picture is an Inverter to give us mains electricity to power light weight mains equipment.

The white unit here is being built to hold the car stereo which will have both indoor and outdoor speakers. It will also hold a CB radio.

A picture of the other end of the wire loom and the new gas pipe.  The first bit of new wall goes in holding a battery monitor for both

batteries, one of the internal speakers and the outlet from the inverter to give us mains.

A shot of the new wall and 2 of the 3 radios.  This picture shows the Starboard end of the rewire

The old roof coming down and the new one going up complete with the new cabin light

This is the cabin where the sink was. As we have changed the colour scheme we decided the whole sink area was too magnolia

so the draining board has been cork tiled.

So above is the sink back in place but a bit less magnolia.

I then removed the last brown carpet from inside and changed it to the new blue.

Here is the new look cabin with blue carpet and new cooker in place.

Starting work in the cockpit now that the cabin is 95% done

The last bit of carpet is now done.  Apart from the flooring the cabin is finished

The helm being transferred from magnolia to white

This is the start of the very long process of turning Kaysea to Lacey in her all white new look

The 100 % finished cabin complete with floor

The first coat on Anti foul paint is now on and the white top coat is all but done.

All done, just some minor jobs in the cockpit left plus the new stickers to go on.  I will add more photos when she in the water

The Launch

Thanks to everyone for all their help

This is Colin, two weeks ago this gentleman bought Lacey following an advert on Ebay.

Julie was too sad to come to the boat yard today to see Lacey leave Teignmouth for the last time.

However she did see Lacey going up Holden Hill on her multi coloured trailer.

We both hope that Colin has as much fun with her as we have done over the years.

Thank you Colin, tight lines and happy days mate.
